Form Four Admissions
Applications for Admission to Form Four (Bridging Programme for the International Advanced Levels (IAL) Curriculum)
(2025-2026 academic year)

Admission to F.2 – F.5 are now open for application.
Applicants are required to complete the Online Application Form.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a written assessment through email. To ensure that emails from our Admission Team reaches you, you are advised to add "hysadmission3@hys.edu.hk" to your "contacts".
Offers will only be given to applicants who passes both the written assessment and admission interview.
Written Assessment: English, Chinese and Mathematics
(F.4 and F.5 applicants wishing to study Chemistry, Biology or Physics will be assessed separately in the relevant subject(s))
Admission Interview: Applicants having attained a satisfactory result in the written assessment will be invited to the admission interview together with their parents.
Interview Topics: Any relevant topic which may include school life, learning experience, co-curricular activities, personal interests, etc.
Interview Language:  English and Cantonese
Admission Criteria: Interview Performance (30%); Academic Performance (30%); Co-curricular Activities & Awards (20%); Conduct / Attitude (20%).

Foreword

Heep Yunn School operates under the Direct Subsidy Scheme and offers the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examinations (HKDSE) curriculum for our senior secondary students. Starting from 2026-2027 academic year, the school will offer the International Advanced Levels Examinations (IAL) curriculum alongside the HKDSE curriculum. Students who obtain the IAL certificates can apply for admissions to overseas universities, as well as Hong Kong tertiary institutions via the non-JUPAS pathway. 

We are now accepting applications for admission to Form Four for the Bridging Programme for the IAL curriculum in the 2025-2026 academic year. Upon the completion of the Bridging Programme, applicants can pursue the IAL curriculum in Forms Five and Six.


School Fees

Form Four: $43,748*, payable in 10 instalments. 

Forms Five & Six: To be determined, pending approval from the Education Bureau (EDB).

Remarks:

  1. The amount of the payable school fee is pending approval from the EDB.
  2. The annual school fee for the IAL curriculum may be different from that of the HKDSE curriculum; please refer to the details to be announced by the school in due course. 
  3. School fees payable in each succeeding year will be no less than the school fee paid in the current year. For example, students studying in Form Four in the 2025-26 academic year will be paying no less than $43,748 in school fees when promoted to Form Five (subject to the EDB’s approval).
  4. The school may propose further fee adjustments to EDB in the future based on the development needs and financial situation.


Fee Remission Scheme

To ensure that no qualified student is denied admission due to financial constraints, Heep Yunn School offers a comprehensive fee remission scheme that includes full (100%), three-quarters (75%), half (50%), and one-quarter (25%) fee waivers. Eligibility extends to students from families receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) or support from the Student Financial Office (SFO). Applications for Admissions to Form Four (Bridging Programme for the International Advanced Levels (IAL) Curriculum)

We are now inviting applications for admissions to Form Four for the 2025-26 academic year.

  1. Application Period: From now until 9th July, 2025 (Wednesday)
  2. Application Procedure: Applicants are required to complete the Online Application Form. Link to the online Application Form can be found at the bottom of this page.
  3. Entrance Examination Fee: $75 (applicable only to applicants invited to the written assessment)

The Curriculum

Students planning to pursue the IAL curriculum in Forms Five and Six shall enroll in the following Bridging Programme in Form Four:

  1. English (The curriculum will be based on the IELTS syllabus starting from Form Five.) 
  2. Chinese (Students may choose whether to take a public examination or not.)
  3. Citizenship and Social Development (Offered in Form Four only.) 
  4. Elective Subjects: Mathematics, Economics, Chemistry and Biology. 
  5. Other School-based Subjects: Physical Education, Music, Religious Studies and Service Learning.

Written Assessment

Date: PM session of 11th July, 2025 (Friday)

Areas of Assessment: English and Mathematics

Only shortlisted applicants will be invited to participate in the written assessment.
 Invitations to attend the written assessment will be emailed to parents of the applicants on or before 10th July, 2025 (Thursday)*, 6:00 p.m. 

*If you do not receive a notification by the specified date and time, please assume that the applicant has not been shortlisted, and no further correspondence will be provided. 

On the day of the written assessment, shortlisted applicants should pay the Entrance Examination Fee of $75 (cash only) and submit the following documents:
1. Printed and completed online application form
2. Photocopy of the Birth Certificate
3. Photocopies of academic reports for the past three years, 

  • first and second term, 22/23 academic year;
  • first and second term, 23/24 academic year; and
  • first term and second term, 24/25 academic year
4. Photocopies of certificates for other academic achievements or co-curricular activities, limited to 8 single-sided A4 pages or 4 double-sided A4 pages. If necessary, applicants should reprint the certificates in a reduced size to meet the page limit.


Admission Interview

Date: Successful candidates from the written assessment will be invited, along with their parents, for an interview. The invitation will be sent via email on or before 15th July, 2025 (Tuesday)*. Interviews are tentatively scheduled to be held from 17th July, 2025 (Thursday) to 18th July, 2025 (Friday). 

*Please note that if you do not receive a notification by the specified date, it indicates that the applicant has not been selected for an interview. In such cases, no further notifications will be issued.

Interview Topics:

1. A self-introduction by the applicant; and
2. Discussion on various topics such as school life, learning experiences, extra-curricular activities, family life, etc.

Interview Language:
English and Cantonese or Putonghua (as applicable or required)

Results
1. Notification: Parents will be notified of the application result on or before 25th July, 2025 (Friday)* via email.
2. Successful candidates will be extended an offer for a school place via email and invited to take part in the Orientation Programme for New Students.
3. Orientation Programme for New Students: 18th August, 2025 (Monday) to 20th August, 2025 (Wednesday) (Tentative)

  1. Login: your email address. A Gmail address is preferred, if possible.
  2. Password: please create a password of your choice
  3. Other information: applicant’s full name, exactly as it appears on her identification documents (e.g. HKID card)

Completing the Online Application Form
  1. Personal information of the applicant, including the upload of a copy of the applicant's identification document and a recent student photo (each file must be under 6MB)

Note: Applicants can update the information anytime during the application period BEFORE CONFIRMING their details online. Once confirmed, no changes to the information can be made.

  1. Confirmation of the completed online application form by clicking "CONFIRM"
  2. Submission of the completed online application form by clicking "SUBMIT"
Note: Applicants will receive a confirmation email after submitting the application form. The confirmation email includes a PDF attachment of the completed application form. This document will contain the applicant's automatically generated application number. 

Step 4
Saving and Printing the Application Form
  1. Click and save the attachment of the completed application form in PDF format.
  2. Print the PDF document for your records.

  1. All supporting documents must be submitted by in person; do NOT mail them to the school. 
  2. To ensure complete fairness and integrity in the admission procedures, applicants and their parents should refrain from offering any forms of advantages to school staff in connection with their applications.
  3. All personal data collected will be used for this application procedure only.
  4. Applicants’ information will be retained for two years. All submitted documents in the application process, unless otherwise specified, will be disposed of by the end of the admission process.
